You will be picked up from Shimla at 7 am to start the trek. After that, you will be taken by vehicle to Rohru Drive. Tons rivers will be seen at this rate. On reaching Rohru, you will enter an area of pine trees. This is not the nearby temple of Pokhu Devta, which is a great example of ancient architecture, which you can go to see.
The trek from Jiskun to Jakha takes you through stunning landscapes at an altitude of approximately 2,700 meters (8,755 feet) for Jakha. This leg of the journey spans around 4 kilometers and typically takes about 4 to 5 hours to complete, depending on your pace. As you trek, you'll be surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery, including lush green valleys, dense forests, and impressive views of the nearby mountains. The path is often lined with vibrant flora, including wildflowers and towering trees, creating a picturesque setting that enhances the overall trekking experience. After a great day, spend the night in Stay.
The last day of your trek begins with an 12 km descent from Ronti Gad to Sangla, taking about 4-5 hours. The trail is a moderate downhill walk, offering a refreshing change after the previous day’s challenges. Along the way, you’ll find many water taps to refill your bottles. By 1-2 PM, you’ll reach Sangla, a beautiful town nestled in the Kinnaur Valley at an altitude of 2,650 meters (8,660 feet). From here, it’s a 9-10 hour drive back to Shimla, marking the end of your incredible journey. As you bid farewell to the mountains, you’ll carry with you unforgettable memories of the Rupin Pass trek, its challenges, and its breathtaking beauty.
